Ok so Mac users can now download Nokia's multimedia transfer app and get access to the store too. I doubt whether something will be done for us Linux users… for firefox or chrome. I'd consider buying music BUT there is NO way I’m doing so via anything on Microsoft. And if its locked up with DRM... well just another reason not to be bent outta shape by Nokia's short sightedness with their business model.

Hmmm...I wouldn't say it's up to the standard of Warcraft 3, but I agree that comparing it to Warcraft 2 could be seen as a bit harsh.
These screenshots should illustrate my views...

Instead of google maps, I used the "Trapster" application to the same effect. Opening the app first locked onto the GPS quite quickly. Then I opened Nokia maps and the fix was in a couple of seconds.

This solution worked for me.
Without maps.google my signal was fixed sometimes even after 30 minutes.
Now with maps.google i got a fix within 20 seconds. After the fix i started Sygic (my navigator) and it picked up that fix inmediatly.

Thanks for this helpfull post!

Kyle, thanks for this post. I also own a SL300 (w/ Nvidia Graphics Card) It helped me run my webcam under Ubuntu 9.10. Just followed the instructions you laid out on Jaunty.

Hi Hans

Ah yes, I did make a few assumptions with the install script. I'll edit it to reflect the changes you recommended.
When you say that the menu doesn't work for you? In what way does it not work? I'd like to fix it :)

Hey,

I wrote that I would post come comments on the service menu, and here they are:

1. The install script assumes that your KDE config files are stored in ~/.kde4. This is not always the case - some distros use ~/.kde, for example. I think you can use 'kde4-config --localprefix' (without '') to get the path instead (not sure using $KDEHOME is safe; it was not exported on my system).

2. Another problem with the install script is that it also assumes that ~/.kde/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/ exists. This was not the case here.

3. Here's an icon with transparent background: http://hanswchen.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/dropbox-icon.png

4. The desktop file looks for the icon in /home/kyle/Dropbox/dropbox-icon.png.

And finally, the menu doesn't work for me, probably because I use a symlink to my Dropbox directory. Not much to do about this, I guess. =)

Keep up the good work!
